Which grill should I choose?         

Which charcoal grill you should choose depends on several factors. How much capacity do you want the grill to have, do you prefer a closed or open charcoal grill, how often will it be used, etc.

Generally, charcoal grills require a bit more preparation than, for example, gas grills. The coals need to be ignited and burn for a while before they are ready. However, the waiting time is often worth it, as food prepared over charcoal can provide a completely different taste experience that many appreciate.

If you have ambitions of roasting a whole pig and larger roasts or preparing food for many people, you should, of course, choose a larger grill with high capacity.

Closed or open charcoal grill?

Whether you should choose an open or closed charcoal grill depends on the usage situation. The open charcoal grills only emit heat from below and are best suited for shorter cooking of certain types of meat and ingredients, such as sausages and burger patties. In the closed charcoal grills, the heat circulates around and is retained throughout the cooking process. Closed charcoal grills are therefore better suited for cooking, for example, roasts or other meats that require longer cooking and thus risk burning on the open charcoal grills.
