Which parasol should I choose?

Depending on your needs, at Zederkof we have a wide selection of parasols in various sizes, colors, and shapes that fit most professional restaurant environments.

We have a large selection of giant parasols suitable for both large and small restaurants and stock a large part of our parasols for quick delivery. Giant parasols are easy to operate and allow you to combine several using a modern gutter system. The parasol canopies are also wind and weather resistant, so you don’t have to worry about the changeable Danish summer weather.

If you are instead looking for a large market parasol, we have several simple and stable market parasols in the range, which you can advantageously use for covering at your store, restaurant, café, or at home on the terrace.

How large a parasol should I choose?

In our parasol range, there are both smaller parasols, which are perfect for casting a pleasant shade in the garden or on the terrace, and larger parasols that provide shade for a larger area and are especially suitable for outdoor serving at cafés and restaurants. Our giant parasols are available in sizes 3×3, 4×4, and 5×5 (internal links?), but we also have smaller parasols such as Lyon or Roma the series.

The sturdy and wind-resistant parasols are particularly suitable as shelter against the changing Danish weather, and the canopies made of quality fabric are durable and have high colorfastness, which prevents fading from sun and ozone. They are also easy to operate, and for larger areas, several can be combined using a smart gutter system, which is also water-draining.

Which parasol is most suitable for terrace/garden?

In our range, we have a selection of smaller parasols, which are suitable for the garden or terrace. Although the parasols are smaller in stature, the quality of both the frame and canopy is still high. Roma hanging parasols, Lyon as well ALU-SMART series are some of the parasols we recommend for smaller areas. Characteristic of all the parasols is their aesthetic appearance, user-friendliness, and high quality.

Can you get parasols with a logo?

Yes, at Zederkof it is possible to have a logo or other text printed on the parasol canopy. Parasols are great as advertising pillars, where you can advantageously have your company logo, text, or other relevant print on the canopy, which also makes the parasols suitable for rental or marketing at fairs, markets, or festivals.

How do I maintain my parasol?

A parasol is made to be used outdoors, and the parasols in our range are all highly wind and weather resistant, but parasols are after all just parasols, and can easily become unsightly if not maintained. Extend the lifespan of your parasol with a few good maintenance tips:

• Start by removing the dirt you can with a soft brush
• Mix water with a little dish soap and wash the entire parasol thoroughly
• If there is algae on your parasol, you can remove it with regular algae remover
• Make sure to clean the frame with a cleaner suitable for the material
• Remember to cover your parasol with a cover when it is not in use

Can you handle your parasol incorrectly?

Yes, you actually can. Therefore, we have a number of good tips for you regarding the correct use of your parasol.

• If the parasol is not fully extended, there is an increased risk of weather damage caused by wind/gusts of wind
• No parasol can withstand being open in bad weather. If the parasol breaks due to bad weather, the warranty does not cover any damages that may occur as a result.
• Before closing the parasol: Turn off any installed lights or heat lamps
• Check that heat lamps have cooled down before closing and thus cannot damage the parasol fabric
• Check that the telescopic system can move freely
• Parasol canopy, which is clamped between the ribs during opening/closing of the parasol, causes wear marks and damages the parasol canopy. Wear marks/use due to misuse of the parasol are not covered by warranty. After 90% of closing the parasol – pull the parasol canopy out from the ribs and fold the canopy in the same direction around the frame. Then secure the parasol canopy with the included elastic strap
• Check that the elastic strap is tightened sufficiently so that the ribs cannot move

The parasols are covered by a product warranty that covers manufacturing defects. Damage caused by weather or other external factors is not covered by the product warranty under any circumstances.
