Indoor tabletop in Sawcut Oak – light, strong and lifelike

This Sawcut Oak tabletop is designed for indoor use and combines low weight with high strength. The surface features a robust melamine coating in realistic Sawcut Oak, which withstands heat, scratches and impacts and is easy to clean during daily use. This makes the tabletop suitable for cafés, restaurants, hotels and canteens, where the furniture needs to withstand heavy use. Along the edge is a 2 mm ABS edge in Sawcut Oak, providing a beautiful, seamless appearance while also protecting against knocks and impacts.

The tabletop is delivered without pre-drilled holes and without threaded inserts, so it can be mounted directly onto most bases using standard chipboard screws. Its low weight makes it especially easy to handle during setup, dismantling, and cleaning.

The tabletop’s hard-wearing construction

The tabletop is constructed from several layers, each serving its own function:

• Melamine surface: The top layer is melamine, which provides a hard, durable, and easy-to-clean surface.
• 2 mm ABS edging: Along the edge is a 2 mm ABS edging that protects against bumps and impacts and provides a neat finished look.
• 3 mm support edges made of chipboard strips: Just beneath the surface lies a support structure made of environmentally friendly chipboard strips, which strengthens the construction and provides improved durability.
• Honeycomb core:  The middle of the panel consists of a honeycomb core made of sturdy cardboard. This structure makes the panel very lightweight while remaining stable and shape-retaining.
• 12 mm chipboard as top and bottom layer: At the top and bottom, there is a layer of chipboard that provides extra strength and allows the board to bear more weight without bending.
