On Amager Boulevard 129 lies a little gem of a newly restored tavern and eatery. As soon as you step through the door, you feel the presence of history. The walls are adorned with old murals that show a glimpse of the area’s history. And the murals were an important element during the restoration and interior design of the place.
When style and interior design come together
All the paintings are in the brown end of the color scale, and it was important for Søren Herlev Jørgensen, one of the owners of Boulevarden, that the furniture should support and complement the paintings and not steal the attention with flashy colors. The murals are the soul of the place and the atmosphere-setting element when customers enjoy refreshments and traditional Danish food in the old premises. Therefore, they were looking for tables, chairs, and bar stools in a subdued and brownish style. Here, the Classic modular tables, chairs, and bar stools fit perfectly. The Classic furniture was chosen from a visual perspective as well as being in an affordable price range. Aesthetics and quality must go hand in hand. They first received test furniture, which convinced them of the style and quality, and in Søren’s own words: Spot on.
Affordable furniture in professional quality
They have priced their food and drinks so that it matches the local clientele. Price and offering must work together, which is why they have chosen to run with reasonable prices. A principle that is also reflected in their other purchasing patterns: Zederkof is not the most expensive, but certainly not the cheapest choice, but ended up being the good choice for Boulevarden.
